Hill Country Women in Business - Woman of the Year
Each year Hill Country Women in Business recognizes one member within our organization with this prestigious award. The woman awarded this honor will have exercised a high standard of ethical and moral behavior as well as graciously volunteered her time to advance the mission of our group.
The Woman of the Year award is based on the criteria below.

Member who has worked hard and graciously volunteered her time to advance the organization and its mission this year and/or in previous years.

Must have served on the board or been on a committee either as chairman, co-chairman, or committee member this year and/or in previous years.

Have excellent attendance being involved and engaged both at membership meetings and outside regular meetings this year.

Not ever received the award before.
Hill Country Women In Business (HCWIB) is a fabulous group of women. I was honored to be nominated for Woman of the Year in 2023. Now, I am truly touched to be voted Woman of the Year for 2024. A little bit about me- I have been creating beautiful hair for 12 years as a licensed cosmetologist. I have the best job in the world because my clients are my friends. There is always laughter and fun to be had! Thanks to HCWIB Member referrals, I have grown my business faster than I could have imagined. I have been married to my best friend Jake for three and a half years. We have two fur babies named Zoë and Red. We moved to Boerne in late 2021. When Diann Taylor, a member of HCWIB, told me about the group, I joined immediately. I served as Membership Chair from 2022 to 2023. Serving on the Board inspired me to start something new. In order to help promote each other’s businesses, I organized the very first Women Supporting Women Day. Members visited one another’s brick and mortar locations and gave shout-outs on social media. Later as Membership Co-chair, I created and facilitated HCWIB Bazaars. The Bazaars were designed to promote HCWIB members' businesses by showcasing their products and services in a fun environment. We had a Summer, Fall, and Christmas Bazaar. I am proud to report that we gained new HCWIB members at each Bazaar. Thank you again for voting for me to be Woman of the Year for 2024. It is my honor to receive this special award from my friends. |
